It's the Festive Season and you are shopping for a new GPU for 1080p Gaming. Looking around, you find many suggestions but are confused with which GPU to purchase since there are so many models available. Look no more, we at CyberRig have painstakingly researched the best options and have come up with Two GPUs which provide the best performance at this price segment.

A recent 2020 Steam segment established that more than 65% of the gamers around the world are still playing in 1080p making this the most competitive market. Both AMD and Nvidia have multiple GPUs targeting this segment, but we have gone through the segment and are recommending you these GPUs for your next purchase.

Nvidia 1650 Super and AMD RX 570.

Both these GPUs are value kings and provide excellent gaming at 1080p, regularly exceeding 60 FPS at High Settings in all the latest AAA Games.

Let's talk about them in more detail:

Nvidia 1650 Super

The Nvidia 1650 Super packs 1280 CUDA cores, 80 texture units and 32 ROPs. It comes clocked at 1530 MHz for the base with a boost clock of 1725 MHz, though this will vary depending on the brand and model a bit. On board we have 12Gbps GDDR6 memory, though there’s only 4GB of it using a 128-bit wide memory bus providing 192 GB/s of memory bandwidth. It's a Dual-Slot  PCIe 3.0 Card with a rated TDP of 100W.

AMD RX 570

The AMD RX 570 packs 2048 Stream processors, 128 texture units and 32 ROPs. It comes clocked at 1168 MHz for the base with a boost clock of 1244 MHz, though this will vary depending on the brand and model a bit. On board we have 7Gbps GDDR5 memory and 8GB of it using a 256-bit wide memory bus providing 224 GB/s of memory bandwidth. It's a Dual-Slot  PCIe 3.0 Card with a rated TDP of 120W.

Our test system for GPU reviews is a Core i7-8700K clocked at 3.7 GHz with 16GB of DDR4-3400 memory. We have 10 games to look at, all have tested at 1080p (High Quality and No MSAA and Advanced Shadows), so let’s get into the results.

Benchmarks

Battlefield V

First up we have Battlefield V and here the 1650 Super averaged 135 fps, placing it on par with the RX 570 making it 12.5% faster than the RX 570. That’s a huge performance boost and it means you won’t need to lower quality settings in this title.

Power Consumption

The 1650 Super consumed 64 Watts at Idle and 221 Watts at Gaming Load whereas the RX 570 consumed 72 Watts at Idle and 298 Watts at Gaming Load.

Performance Summary

The 1650 Super looked great across all those games but for a really good idea of how it stacks up let’s look at the average frame rates across all 10 games tested at 1080p.

On average, the GTX 1650 Super is 15% faster than the Radeon RX 570. The GTX 1650 Super delivers 126 FPS at average compared to 107 FPS of the RX 570 at 1080p.

Nvidia has been able to take out the RX 570, undercutting it and delivering better value. This makes the new GTX 1650 Super the best value budget graphics card under 15k in the Indian Market. Overall, the GeForce GTX 1650 Super seems to deliver on all fronts for less than Rs. 15k and is the Recommended Value GPU by CyberRig.
